I love hollyhocks, they are so pretty :) Some day on the internet I found a photo of them behind a nice fence. I thought that could be nice to try to draw and paint it. And so I did :) It just turned a bit too light, when I tried to get rid of that grey paper. Why does the whitest paper always look grey on photos? I'll never understand... :)

And here are the promised pictures of the harbour from the day of the Nivea beach party.
It was so hot that day, even in the harbour I couldn't take more than just a couple of minutes. So I went to see if I could find a nice shady place to sit and cool down. Found it under an umbrella of a cafe. And I had something real nice to drink - an ice coffee :) No, not the american version (iced coffee - coffee with ice cubes in it), we Germans don't like watered down coffee and we also love some calories every now and then ;) This is refrigerated coffee, some vanilla ice cream in it and whipped cream on top. Yummie! :))
And while I sat there and watched other people, I thought that I could give it a try
to draw some of what I saw there. You'll get to see the result in my next post :))
This is taken from inside the bus on my way home. There were shadow people glued to the windows,
I thought that should make a nice photo :))
So, that's it for a little while, I have to take a break from blogging, because I've got some visitors.
But with them I'll get to go and see some other places, so there will be plenty of pictures to show after then :))
Have a happy time! :))
oooh I think I will miss your photos and paintings!! Don't be gone long! Though I'm sure you'll have some lovely photography to show when you get back!

I always look forward to what you draw/paint on your sketch pad. Will wait patiently to see what you saw as you watched it all.
AntwortenLöschenLove the hollyhock along the fence line. So very colorful.
And of course, the sea lifestyle....always beautiful.
Thank you very much Anni :)
LöschenPretty art, always enjoy a new one of yours. You are so talented. Loved the photos also.
AntwortenLöschenThanks for the compliment Denise :)
wonderful photos and tales of life
AntwortenLöschensweet little painting too
I am not sure why your paper turns gray. I use a scanner when ever possible, it is fairly accurate.
Thank you very much Tammie :)
LöschenI can't use my scanner - that leaves a pink note
on it, which I can't get rid of. I prefer the gray in
that case :))
beautiful painting, love your colourful style! Thanks for the photos, the iced coffee looks amazing. Enjoy your time with friends can't wait to see you back!
AntwortenLöschenThank you very much Christine :)
LöschenI'm already enjoying :))
Oh what a beautiful painting! I love how sweet and fresh it is! Beautiful photos too, I love the one with the seagull at the top and the coffee looks yummy. I hope you have a wonderful time with your company!
AntwortenLöschenThank you very much Lisa :) I'm already
Löschenhaving a wonderful time :)) And the coffee
doesn't only look good, it tastes good
as well ;)
Hi Möwe, You have been busy, busy, busy! Wow, lots of neat items posted on your blog the last few days. I always enjoy your art and photography. I like the way you take a picture and then turn it into a drawing. You say you are not an artist, but you really are ... a very good one at that! Thanks for sharing and thanks for your kind comments on my blog. Wishing you a fine week ahead!
AntwortenLöschenI enjoyed your Stockrosen (in Norwegian called stokkroser ...) , and lighthouses are always fun ;-)
AntwortenLöschenHow pretty these are - you are a lovely artist :D)
